ASIA’s largest Hard Rock Hotel is set to be completed in 2027 in King’s Park, Genting Highlands.
HR Resort and Residences (HRRR) Sdn Bhd, owner of the upcoming Hard Rock Hotel Genting Highlands, signed an agreement with Hard Rock International to bring the hotel brand to Genting Highlands.
Hard Rock Genting Highlands will boast 371 opulent rooms and 630 suites.
Hard Rock International senior vice-president and global business development head Todd Hricko is looking forward to the project coming to fruition.
“This will strengthen Hard Rock’s profile in the area.”
He said visitors could expect a showcase of music memorabilia of international stars.
“Precious collectibles, from birth certificates of globally famous singers and groups such as Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, to their Grammys and MTV music awards, will be on display in the hotel.

“Our commitment to the music industry is what distinguishes us from other hotels,” he said after signing the agreement with HRRR chairman Lim Kim Chai at King’s Park sales gallery in Genting Highlands.
Hotel guests will also get to enjoy the Rock Shop, which is Hard Rock Hotel’s 200sq m retail space, as well as a heated swimming pool, restaurants, Rock Spa, and nightly rock ‘n’ roll excitement in the hotel’s stylish lounge and bar.
One-of-a-kind Hard Rock souvenirs, infused with the unmistakable Hard Rock swag, will be available for purchase.
Hard Rock Hotel will be one of the three hotels in King’s Park.
King’s Park executive vice- president Sean Chen said the partnership marked a milestone in the world of hospitality.
“Our focus is creating an unforgettable adventure that blends the best of high-end design with the free-wheeling energy of rock ‘n’ roll.
“I myself am an avid guitar player with a deep love for rock and guitar-based music, so it is with enormous pride that we’ve constructed a concept for Hard Rock Genting Highlands,” he said.
Chen said the upcoming Hard Rock Hotel Genting Highlands would generate a large number of jobs in various fields.
“This will unquestionably spur economic growth and significantly improve the quality of life in Pahang and the surrounding states,” he said.
Developed by King’s Park Development Sdn Bhd, King’s Park is set to become an integrated entertainment hub and Central Business District (CBD), fusing world-class entertainment and hospitality.
It is a mega development spanning 61ha of freehold land with a gross development value (GDV) of RM10bil.
About 53 million tourists are expected to visit it by 2026 and it has a catchment area of nearly 700,000 people within a 5km radius.
It has a state-of-the-art 2,000m-long pedestrian boulevard with a 500m riverside patio and 360 businesses spread throughout 12 blocks.
About 18,680sq metres of Truly Asia Cultural Streets will add to the splendour of King’s Park.
There are also plans for a halal retail zone and a halal luxury boutique hotel, besides eco-sports and mountain biking routes.
Other attractions including branded theme parks and the world’s largest terrarium, which spans 600m, are also within easy walking distance.
Also at the agreement signing ceremony were Hard Rock International senior vice-president and Asia-Pacific hotel development head Edward Chan and King’s Park Group chief executive officer and co-founder Datuk Jayandren Subramaniam.
