‘Hot Daddy’ and his two girlfriends charged with running prostitution racket

KUALA LUMPUR: A father of three infamously known as ‘Hot Daddy’ and his two girlfriends have been charged at the Sessions Court here for offering sexual services.

Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli, 32; Norhidayah Mahadi, 24; and Norshazrina Md Zamri, 27, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out before Sessions Court judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.

According to the charge sheet, the three allegedly advertised sexual services on X, which a reasonable person would understand as prostitution.

The offence was allegedly committed at the CID’s anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division (D7) office, Bukit Aman, at 10.10am on Jan 16.

They were charged under Section 372(1)(e) of the Penal Code with prostitution, read together with Section 34 of the same Code, which carries a sentence of up to 15 years’ jail, whipping and a fine upon conviction.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nidzuwan Abd Latif did not offer bail on grounds that the accused were charged with a non-bailable offence and taking into consideration public interest.

“However, if the court still allows bail, the prosecution suggests a RM20,000 bail for each of the accused,” he said.

Lawyer Mohd Faris Abrar Othman, who represented all accused, sought a minimum bail amount.

He said the accused were not a flight risk as they were locals and have families here.

“Hasli Ikhwan has to care for his 67-year-old father who has kidney illness and also has three children aged four, 10 and 12.

“Norshazrina works as a manager in the private sector with a RM4,000 monthly income and cares for her 56-year-old mother who has a heart disease while Norhidayah does not have a fixed income,” he added.

Judge Siti Aminah then allowed bail at RM10,000 in one surety for each of the accused.

The case is fixed for mention on Feb 28.

It was reported that police had arrested the individual known as “Hot Daddy” who allegedly recorded and sold lewd videos, were arrested at a house in Janda Baik.
