ASAP Mobility rebrands to Nippon Koei Mobility

KUALA LUMPUR: ASAP Mobility Sdn Bhd, a system engineering and consultancy company focusing on Railway and Public Transport Systems, has rebranded to Nippon Koei Mobility Sdn Bhd.

Nippon Koei Mobility is a part of Nippon Koei group, Japan’s leading engineering consultant, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in the company’s journey to greater heights.

The rebranding positions Nippon Koei Mobility as the first Japanese-owned independent railway and public transport system consultant that brings global expertise to a local market, it said in a statement.

Nippon Koei Mobility will also serve as the Railway System and Smart Mobility Centre for Nippon Koei.

With the rebrand, the company said it will continue to provide its clients with comprehensive system engineering and consultancy services, while also leveraging on Nippon Koei’s global expertise and resources to offer even more innovative, effective and sustainable solutions.

Aniket Mukhopadhyay, director, president and CEO of Nippon Koei Mobility (pic), said: “This strategic move aligns with our commitment to deliver innovative solutions, harness the power of data, and leverage cutting-edge technology to redefine the future of transportation and urban planning.

“At the same time, we aim to create exceptional opportunities for Malaysian talents, giving them the opportunity to manage major international projects and gain valuable insights.

“At Nippon Koei Mobility, we are dedicated to contributing to the growth and development of the Malaysian economy and enhancing the nation’s competency profile in the field of public transport and railway system engineering.”

In August 2022, Nippon Koei acquired a majority stake in ASAP Mobility. Prior to that, ASAP Mobility had established itself as a prominent player in the field of railway system engineering consultancy, both in Malaysia and internationally, since its inception in November 2013.
