ASIA Green Group marked the 20th anniversary of its property development division with the launch of its latest project, The Pier serviced apartments.

The new residence is at Penang World City in Bayan Lepas.

Asia Green chief executive officer and director Tan Li Mei said The Pier was a landmark statement of their commitment towards a greener future.

“It combines luxury living with cutting-edge green technologies, setting new standards for sustainable urban development.

“From energy-efficient design to advanced waste management systems, every aspect of this project reflects our dedication to reducing our footprint.

“But it’s not just about bricks and mortar. It’s also about building a community that embraces the responsibility to protect our planet,” she said during a ceremony at their office and sales gallery in Persiaran Bayan Indah near Queensbay Mall.

Designed to be Green Building Index Gold-compliant, The Pier is planned to have water-saving fittings for both residential units and common areas, energy-saving fittings for common areas, solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, regenerative lifts, composting facilities and a rainwater harvesting system.

It will also have a herb garden, abundant greenery and water features including the first wave pool in Penang.

There will be 934 freehold units in a pair of 37-storey towers alongside 64 commercial lots in the podium block.

The Type A standard unit with three bedrooms and the Type A1 dual key unit with two bedrooms and a studio both measure 1,044sq ft. The Type B with four bedrooms is a corner unit with full sea view and measures 1,227sq ft.

Recreational facilities include a jacuzzi, children’s pool, terrace garden, open deck, patio, pavilion, forest walk, reading garden, yoga garden, indoor and outdoor gyms, playground, dance room, games room and community hall.

The development’s location near the Penang Bridge’s landing on the island puts it close to shopping, dining, lifestyle, medical and educational amenities.

The launch was attended by Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo and Batu Uban assemblyman A. Kumaresan.

Also present were Asia Green Group founder and chairman Tan Boon Huat and director Tan Loong Khoon.

The group is a diversified entity with subsidiaries in land and property development as well as plywood production and trading.

Guests at the ceremony were treated to a lion dance, lunch, lucky draws, coffee and cocktails.
