THE first fast food restaurant in Malaysia and beloved home of RB floats, Coneys and nostalgic memories, A&W is marking a significant moment in its history as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.
The celebration not only highlights remarkable achievements but also underscores a heartfelt thank you to loyal patrons and communities that have made this milestone possible.
To encapsulate the essence of nostalgia and innovation, the company is running a campaign, #AnWSippingIntoTheFuture, which aims to transport guests back to the fun and memorable 1990s while embracing the changing tastes of today’s generation.
Through the campaign, one lucky Malaysian will stand a chance to win a year’s worth of unlimited Coneys and RB (terms and conditions apply), along with a treasure trove of promotions and freebies for all customers.
A&W Malaysia is committed to further expansion. By 2025, it aims to have 150 A&W outlets across the country, and by 2028, it is setting its sights even higher, with the goal of reaching 250 outlets nationwide.
In addition to physical expansion, A&W is embracing digitalisation to enhance customers’ experience.
The company has announced forthcoming implementation of self-ordering kiosks in all its stores.
This technology-driven initiative reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and the utilisation of modern advancements.

To join the contest, the public has to simply “Snap, Comment and Win” for a chance to win the Golden Ticket prize or be one of the first 60 customers to enjoy a free RB.
Participants are encouraged to think back to the times A&W played a part in their special moments.
It could be when their grandparents ushered their first anniversary celebration at A&W sipping on RB floats or when their parents held a family picnic accompanied by A&W.
Participants then have to recreate a “renewed version” of that exact moment in a short and sweet video.
