Investment bank bags nine awards for industry excellence

A financial services company has been recognised for its achievements during the Bursa Excellence Awards 2023.

In thanking Bursa Malaysia for the honour, Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd (KIBB) group managing director Datuk Chay Wai Leong said the nine awards stood as a testament to the organisation’s dedication and hard work in delivering value to its stakeholders across diverse range of businesses.

“We are excited about the prospect of furthering our journey of growth and success in the market,” he said.

KIBB was once again champion in the Best Overall Equities Participating Organisation category, marking its fourth consecutive win.

Its Listed Derivatives Business, Kenanga Futures Sdn Bhd, secured another major accolade as Champion in the Best Overall Derivatives Trading Participant.

Themed “Growth to Excellence, Redefining the Market’s Future”, the event was attended by Bursa Malaysia Bhd chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar and its chief executive officer Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift.

The event lauded both organisational and individual brokers and intermediaries for their outstanding achievements in navigating the capital markets of 2023.

Three of the KIBB Group’s remisiers were also recognised as part of the Bursa Retail Investor Campaign 2023 in their respective categories.
