MATTA Fair back in JB

THE Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair in Johor Baru is back.

It will be held for three days from Aug 2 at Austin International Convention Centre (AICC).

The top travel and tourism fair in Malaysia is an established event widely recognised and supported by exhibitors and consumers.

The MATTA Fair August 2024 will showcase a wide and comprehensive choice of travel and holiday products from all over the world in one venue.

Organisers aim to have on offer very attractive bargains on travel products and services.

During the three days of the fair, travellers can expect attractive deals on all types of international and domestic packages, including umrah packages along with discounted airline tickets.

MATTA urged consumers to purchase tour packages via travel agents licensed by the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry (Motac).

MATTA warned consumers that booking travel packages online, without information about the company’s history and background, could result in losses. It noted online scammers used extremely low pricing to phish their intended victims.

The fair this year will include exhibitors from Tourism Johor, Tourism Malaysia Southern Region, Tourism Selangor, Tourism Sarawak, Tourism Sabah and the Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia.

A total of 140 booths have so far been taken up by exhibitors.

There are a total of RM120,000 worth of fabulous prizes to be won including airline tickets to various destinations, five-star hotel accommodations, travel vouchers and a Proton Persona 1.6 CVT Standard as a grand draw prize.

Admission is free to all, while buyers will be eligible for a lucky draw.

Every purchase of RM500 in a single receipt for domestic packages and RM1,000 for international packages at MATTA Fair will earn one chance for the draw, to be held on Aug 15.
