Pre-order the Honor Magic6 Pro (RM4,499) and get Watch4 and Earbuds X6

PETALING JAYA: The Magic6 Pro, Honor’s latest flagship smartphone augmented by artificial intelligence (AI), boasts a 180-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and is priced at RM4,499.

The pre-order for the device, available in epi green and black, is open from today until March 27. Customers who pre-order will be entitled to free goodies worth up to RM1,960, including an Honor Watch4 and Earbuds X6.

The pre-order also includes a free front and back screen replacement for the first 365 days, an extra year of warranty, and a deposit rebate of RM330 (five times the initial deposit of RM66).

A 50-megapixel wide shooter and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter complement the telephoto camera on the back. The smartphone also has a 50-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.

The phone showcases a number of AI features, including Magic Portal, which the company touts as an intent-based interface that will open the appropriate app once the user selects an item, such as an image or text.

AI Privacy Call 2.0, on the other hand, is claimed to adapt to the user’s surroundings to minimise audio leaks and provide improved clarity during calls.

Like its predecessor, it has AI Motion Sensing Capture, but it has been improved to capture a wider range of sports and activities, such as jumping, dancing, and martial arts.

Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with the device running on MagicOS 8.0, the company’s UI for Android 14.

It has a 6.8in display with an adaptive dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz and is certified for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

In terms of battery capacity, there has been an increase from last year’s model, jumping to 5,600mAh from 5,100mAh.

It supports 80-watt SuperCharge, which the company claims will power up the phone to 100% in under 40 minutes, and 66-watt wireless SuperCharge.

The company also highlighted its second-generation silicon-carbon battery technology and E1 battery management chipset, boasting 81 minutes of video playback with just 10% battery even in extreme climates at -20°C.

The device has 512GB of storage and 12GB RAM.

Honor also unveiled limited edition models of the Magic V2 and Magic6 Pro as part of a collaboration with Porsche Design, priced at RM10,999 and RM7,499, respectively.

Honor’s launch event also saw the launch of the Pad 9 with a 12.1in display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, 16GB RAM (however, only 8GB is native and the other 8GB is from internal storage), and 256GB storage.

The Pad 9 is available in two colours, Space Gray and Cyan Lake, and is priced at RM1,499.

The pre-order for the Pad 9 runs from today until March 28 and includes a smart Bluetooth keyboard and Honor Choice pencil.
