STILL fuelling speculation of an upcoming wedding, actress and model Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas (pic) is making many ask whether she is going to marry soon or is it just a gimmick to promote a product, Harian Metro reported.
The 31-year-old star posted on Instagram a picture of her wearing a white dress and veil resembling a wedding dress made by fashion label Fizi Woo.
The post also included the hashtag #RuhainiesSayIDo, implying that her wedding date is edging closer.
However, there are some who thought that the stunt was just to promote Fizi Woo’s wedding collection.
Meanwhile, in the comments’ section, many fans congratulated the actress for the purported nuptials, while some labelled it a publicity stunt.
Ruhainies had in the past uploaded a gimmick video implying that she was getting married, but it turned out to be a product promotion.
> Actor and director Datuk Afdlin Shauki, who married his manager Marcella in August, says he is now blissfully happy, Berita Harian reported.
The 55-year-old said the presence of Marcella cured his loneliness following his divorce.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy. I am well taken care of.
“There is someone who makes me breakfast and massages my back if I’m in pain,” he said.
Afdlin, who was appointed as the Film Directors Association of Malaysia chairman recently, said his priority is to take care of his family.
Afdlin was married to Maria Christina Orow in 1997 before their divorce in April last year. The couple have three children – Mia Sara, Anais and Ileana Matin.
> The cast and crew who were shooting the telefilm Rumah Pontianak said they encountered strange things while filming at various locations in Selangor such as Pulau Carey, Hulu Langat and Ulu Yam in late September, the daily also reported.
The telefilm directed by Asri Tajudin, or Asri Baq’u, features well-known stars such as Datuk Syafinaz Selamat, Nasha Aziz, Rushdi Ramli, Azri Iskandar and Jaa Suzuran.
Asri said filming was challenging as they had to do it at night and on location in the jungle, in old colonial houses.
“The cast and crew were even disturbed by supernatural beings. There were some who saw unspeakable things. We also had an ustaz on hand just in case.”
