Themed buffet dinners, high tea for week-long indulgence

A HOTEL in Kuala Lumpur is offering themed weekday buffet dinners and high-tea buffet on weekends.

On Tuesdays, Thyme restaurant in Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur lines up an extravagant Fisherman’s Table buffet showcasing the freshest catch.

A spread of giant tiger grouper, silver pompano, golden snapper, barramundi, mackerel, catfish, prawns and calamari allows diners their pick of marine protein.

Chefs will cook them to order, with options of asam pedas-style, steamed, tandoori or deep-fried served with tartar sauce and lemon.

On Wednesdays, Malaysian cuisine is celebrated with a showcase of flavours from Penang, Melaka, Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur.

The live cooking stations see chefs preparing roti canai, fried rice, fried noodles, rendang, laksa and Hainanese chicken rice.

On Thursdays, Meat Me highlights prime cuts to satisfy the most discerning of meat lovers.

Guests can indulge in ribeye, porterhouse, sirloin, lamb chops, lamb shoulder, tikka kebab, carveries and smoked meats.

Meals can be customised by choosing preferred cuts, cooking styles and sides.

Fridays and Saturdays see the Fabulous Seafood buffet offering a premium selection of oysters, lobsters, crabs, mussels, scallops, yabbies, clams and prawns.

They can be prepared in a multitude of styles – tandoori, baked with herbs, garlic and lemon, grilled Malay style, served with tamarind juice and chilli soy sauce or a la kam heong.

On Saturdays, Thyme’s Malaysian High-Tea Buffet features cherished recipes and local flavours of the past.
